Recently, I finished Larry Niven's Ringworld and Ringworld Engineers. I thought they'd be similar to ACC's BDO sci-fi like Rendez-vous with Rama or 2001, 2010, 2061 and 3001. Wrong. I sort of liked both. The Ringworld concept (especially magnitude) was awesome, but all of the characters were forgettable. Plus, the alien sex was just too...nerdy. Like Niven fantasized about this crap. Oh well, I'm going to do William Gibson's Count Zero and then probably Mona Lisa Overdrive next. Also, I just watch David Lynch's Dune so now I'm geeked up to read Dune Messiah and the rest. We'll see...gonna get through Count Zero first.
